Here is the list of Publishing and Performing Rights Organizations (PRO) in alliance with JASRAC (Japan), with which we affiliate. We hope it helps you confirm the situations in your country to use our music for your project properly.
– Case 1 –
If the Organizations/Societies of your country are in alliance with JASRAC regarding Performance Rights and Mechanical Rights, please refer to these processes.
1. Performance Rights License: If you want to use our music for public performance such as TV/Radio Broadcasting, Film, and live audience venue performances, please submit your Cue Sheet or public performance report to the Organization.
2. Mechanical Rights License: If you want to use our music for phonorecords such as CD and any other media that includes audio alone, please explain your usage to the Organization and ask about the Mechanical License Fee (or Rate) BEFORE or AT THE SAME TIME you ask us for licensing.
If different Organizations handle Performance Rights and Mechanical Rights in your country (such as the United States) and you need to obtain both licenses, please contact both organizations along with your licensing situation.
– Case 2: No PRO –
If there is no single Performance Rights Organization in your country that is in alliance with JASRAC, unfortunately, you can not use our music for public performances. If you want to use our music for Synchronization usage ALONE (such as using music for web videos), you may contact and negotiate with us directly.
– Case 3: No Organization for Mechanical –
If there is no single Mechanical Rights Organization in your country that is in alliance with JASRAC, you will need to discuss the Mechanical license fee for your usage directly with us.
– Case 4: Synchronization License –
If you want to use our music for Synchronization usage ALONE (outside Japan), you can only contact us and discuss the Synchronization Fee and condition. However, if you consider additional licenses that include Performance or Mechanical Rights such as TV/Radio broadcasting or CD/DVD packages, please also refer to Case1-3 and take all necessary procedures.
Attention!: Master License
Regardless of licensing type (except for a cover song or MIDI/sheet music usage), you need to obtain permission for “Master License” DIRECTLY from us. If you are not familiar with music licensing, please refer to “How Music Licensing Works” on How Stuff Works page. At any rate, please be sure to choose your license type carefully and describe your project and usage as closely as possible on each quote page (see also “Licensing Guide” page).
If you have any questions about using out music for your project, please don’t hesitate to ask us also via the Contact page. We’re looking forward to working together!
